What is a Dinosaur

I made this [very] simplified cladogram illustrating how different dinosaur groups relate to each other, as well as how they are related to other extinct animals that more often than not get mislabelled as “dinosaurs”.

My main motivation for creating this piece was not pedantic concern about everyone using the right scientific terminology. It was more about how this tendency of calling everything big, reptilian and dead “dinosaur” in everyday language, keeps most people from imagining how diverse and rich prehistoric life really was.
I hope people will find it as fascinating as I do.
