1993. The Raptor from Jurassic Park.⁣
Probably one of the most iconic movie monsters ever. Jurassic Park changed the public perception of dinosaurs from lumbering primitive lizards to agile active animals.⁣
An effort was made to portray dinosaurs as accurately as possible, according to the science of the time. Sadly future films will prioritize brand recognition over scientific accuracy. And for the past 25 years dinosaurs in popular culture have remained stuck in Jurassic Park despite all the new discoveries and advances in paleontology.
