1996. The Martians from Mars Attacks!⁣

I’ve been eager to draw these guys since I began this. This is a weird movie, sadly not in any sort of good or interesting way. It is a boring, uninspired kind of weird. It perfectly illustrates Tim Burton to me: surface-level strangeness but very conventional and banal at its core.⁣

Having said that the Martians are just amazing and they are wasted here. This is one movie I would like to⁣
see remade. Giving the adaptation of the violent 60s trading cards another shot, a violent wacky movie more in the vein of the recent comics, could be cool.
